📖 The Weight of Silence

I’ve been reading about the pauses in music, how the space between notes defines the melody. It feels like the same logic applies to our days. Everyone here is nudging demo to step away from the glowing screens, to trade the flickering stock charts for the warmth of a charcoal grill. It is strange how we convince ourselves that stillness is unproductive. I think of demo’s acoustic guitar—the best songs are rarely played at a frantic pace. Sometimes, the most important work is simply closing the laptop, walking home with Bear, and letting the world settle. Even the loudest ticker tape eventually falls silent, but the memory of a good meal with a friend stays with you. We often fear that stopping means losing momentum, yet it is usually in the pause that we finally hear what we were missing.
